Dublin - Useful Info

Dublin

We're really looking forward to welcoming you to Dublin.

Here are some useful details of the event:

The Gala Dinner

This will be our 25th anniversary Gala Dinner so just for this year the dress code is "Formal with a Hint of Silver".  When we say formal that means Dinner Jacket or Tuxedo for men and something dressy for ladies, but we would never force anyone to wear a uniform so it's encouraged but up to you! We will have dancing after the dinner has been served thanks to our intrepid EuRA Band!  The EuRA Board have been working with a group of EuRA Members who have volunteered to form a band, for one night only to help us celebrate!  Please bear in mind that in order to accommodate the huge number of people who were on the first waitlist, we have to split the Gala Dinner into two rooms.

The Dazzling Dublin Dinner and Disco

The Friday night event will take place in The Round Rooms at The Mansion House on Dawson Street, just a ten minute walk from the Radisson Royal Hotel. There will be some fantastic entertainment and a disco. We will have buses on circulation but it's really easy to walk there and a map will be on the App. This event is fully booked.

Dress Codes

For conference days, business casual is how most people choose to dress but there is no dress code.  The Gala Dinner is "Formal with a Hint of Silver" as described above.  The Dazzling Dublin Dinner and Disco is casual.

The Silent Auction

We currently have a few prizes for the charitable Silent Auction but we would love to have more!  Huge thanks to Aimbridge for five apartment stays across Europe and to RelocationOnline for a bespoke tour of the wonderful city of Dublin. We would love to have more auction items so if you have something you could donate (either an experience or something easily transported) you will be helping to raise money for our local charity, The Alice Leahy Trust, supporting homeless people in Dublin.

Your Conference App

Everything you have signed up for this year from Symposia to the Dazzling Dublin Dinner and Dance can be found on your ticket in the App. To download your App just go to the App or Android store and search EuRA Dublin 2023.  Once you have downloaded the App, take a few minutes to fill in your bio and upload your profile pic as it makes it much easier for other delegates to find you.  A good tip for uploading your bio is to copy it into an email that you can send to your device, where you can the copy and paste the text into the App.  There are messaging and scheduling functions in the App to make it easy to get in touch with people and plan your conference programme.  There is also a fantastic Dublin Guide thanks to our Gold Sponsor RelocationOnline.
