Sun Gardens Hotel Dubrovnik
In 1998, 110 people got together in the Tryp Presidente hotel in Barcelona’s famous Avineda Diagonal for EuRA’s first ever conference. In 2017 670 joined us in the Warsaw Sofitel.
For our 20th anniversary conference 2018 we have chosen one of Europe’s leading hotels to host our very special event and we know you’re going to love it. The Dubrovnik Sun Gardens, a Leading Hotels of the World property, is a beautiful resort on the beach set in stunning gardens.
This beautiful Leading Hotels of the World property overlooks the Adriatic. The hotel is a 15 minute cab ride north of the city so be aware of the costs of transfers if you decide not to stay in the conference hotel. The hotel has two types of accommodation, rooms in the main hotel building and apartments in the Residences, located just across the breakfast terrace. The apartments are the same cost but are much larger, each with a full kitchen, living area and terrace. The full hotel services are available in both hotel rooms and residences. If you want to have a private space for meetings, then an apartment in the residences are an ideal environment.
Please note the event is strictly limited to 600 delegates so BOOK EARLY!
Each year we expand our learning programmes and 2018 will be no different. We have lined up some fantastic networking events and as it's our 20th anniversary, some great celebrations to mark the event.
Dubrovnik is truly one of the most fascinating and historical cities in the Mediterranean. Whether you have been many times or are visiting for the first time, you will want to take some time out from your EuRA schedule to explore. With white limestone streets, superbly preserved architecture and vistas of the Adriatic from every turn, this is a city that will charm you.
Dubrovnik is no stranger to conflict due to its strategic importance as both a trading hub and a military stronghold. The terrible conflict in the Balkans and the shelling of the city in 1991 resulted in every single building in the Old Town being damaged. Today, the restoration is flawless and Dubrovnik is one of the most visited cities in Europe. So much so that the city government limits access to the Old Town during super busy periods. With Dubrovnik firmly on the cruise itinerary, check with us before you venture out as we will have the cruise ship arrival and departure times on the check in desk. If there are three or four ships in the harbour at once, the town is best avoided until after 3pm when they depart!
