They scanned the page, looked at us nervously, peered at it again, then stared at us with expressions so quizzical they may as well have had question marks painted on their faces. In spite of giving the document 5 headings, upping the text to 16 point and listing every minute detail down to the colour of the bathroom tiles, there was just too much white space on the page. He will be remembered as the third president of EURA, always striving for betterment. He was loved by many for his positive and happy nature. Since he served three terms in Viet Nam and received three bronze stars, he will be buried with great honour on November 16th 2010 at the Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC." Last month the President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, announced that he intends to bring forward plans to disband and expel all Afghan and international private security companies, respectively. Responsibility for security will then pass to the local police forces; news that has been met with dismay by embassies who rely on armed guards for their safety, and who mistrust the largely illiterate and corrupt local police forces. There are currently more than 50,000 people employed in the private sector security industry in the country, protecting convoys, essential supply routes and personnel.
